Sheena Thomas is Commercial and Business Partnerships Manager at GNS Science, leading the teams responsible for commercialisation of research, as well as business partnerships both locally and internationally. GNS has a depth of capability in transforming the way energy is produced, managed and stored. Its hydrogen research and development can impact the scale and efficiency of production in New Zealand and globally, and Sheena’s role is focused on enabling the right partnerships and investment to accelerate this outcome.
Sheena was previously at Z Energy, where she led the strategy development and delivery of low carbon fuel options including hydrogen, biofuels and synthetic fuels. She is a Board Member of the Bioenergy Association of New Zealand, and was part of the Aotearoa Circle Technical Advisory Group that developed a low carbon energy roadmap for New Zealand.
