Kenji YOSHIMURA began his career at Kawasaki Heavy Industries (hereafter KHI) in 1992, joining the Energy Plant Business Division, where he was responsible for the design and sales of nuclear power generation, waste heat power generation, and gas turbine power generation.
In 2005, he transitioned to the Technical Research Institute, where he focused on the development of gas engines. During his tenure, he successfully developed the world’s most efficient gas engine, contributing to significant technological advancements in the field.
In 2009, he was appointed head of the Hydrogen Project Department when KHI launched its hydrogen initiatives, playing a pivotal role in establishing and expanding the company’s footprint in the hydrogen industry. Over the next 15 years, he played a key role in shaping KHI’s hydrogen strategy and technological innovations.
In 2023, he assumed the position of Executive Officer and Group Manager of the Project Group within the Hydrogen Strategy Division. In this capacity, he leads critical projects aimed at strengthening hydrogen’s role in advancing sustainable energy solutions, reinforcing KHI’s commitment to innovation in the sector.
